'This changes everything'

Friday 20 November 2015 , at 7.30 pm.

The film ”This changes everything”, based on the book by Naomi Klein, presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines of dealing with the impact of environmental destruction.  Klein argues that humans don't cause climate collapse, and nor does carbon. The problem is a form of capitalism, the whole point of which is to find resources and exploit them. It's a habit of mind. As such, it can be changed. Except that most of the time we cannot see this, because, as Klein encapsulates the problem, "We lack the collective spaces in which to confront the raw terror of ecocide".  Lucky for everybody, opening up such spaces is exactly what Klein does best.  View this film and join in discussion of its impact and how we can respond.
